Coronavirus Samples Stolen in Chicago

Frozen samples to be tested for COVID-19 were stolen from a lab employee’s vehicle on Thursday evening. The employee left her vehicle unsecured and running as she went into the gas station. When she returned her vehicle was missing.
The employee and a relative went to look for the vehicle and found it after midnight. They flagged down law enforcement, who approached the vehicle and suspects fled. Once the vehicle was secured the truck was searched and the samples were discovered missing.
